There's more to becoming a good official than knowing the rules. In addition to attending regular association meetings, camps and clinics can be a valuable tool in improving yourself as an official. Often, these camps are lead by umpires or officials with years of experience at all levels of play. Although most are geared toward teaching less experienced officials to become better, even the most experienced take away something that will help improve them on or off the field.
